Sodalite Metalsmith Necklace

This Sodalite stone has a unique pattern of white floating through dark cobalt blue. I bezel set the oval stone by hand in fine silver with a sterling silver back plate. I added a sterling silver ball as an extra detail. The pendant hangs on a 20 " long, 925 sterling silver rolo chain that is attached to the bail. The pendant and chain have been oxidized and hand handed for an aged patina. 

Sodalite is a birthstone of Sagittarius and is said to aid in communication and improve self esteem so it would make a wonderful gift for yourself or someone special.
